Tree Care & Species Protection – Your Responsibility in the Tree
As an arborist, you're closer to the tree ecosystem than almost anyone else. A solid foundation of knowledge about tree-dwelling species and their needs is therefore not a nice-to-have – it's part of the job.
Theoretical knowledge can be acquired in many ways: books, the internet, expert lectures – for example, at our regular informational afternoons on species protection. As a practitioner, though, you're confronted directly with tree-dwelling species every single day. No one else gets as close to them as you do.
Habitat trees & cavity trees – what's at stake
Habitat and cavity trees provide a home for an incredible diversity of animal and plant species. Felling such a tree can permanently wipe out entire populations. This isn't an exaggeration – it's reality.
If felling is unavoidable, at least give the inhabitants a chance at a new home. There's a fair amount to consider here. If you come across tree-dwelling species, get in touch with specialized associations or organizations that can help.
